James Evans and family of Lebanon were called here by the death of Mrs. John Evans, which occurred on Tuesday, the 23d inst., at 3:30 o’clock. She died of consumption and was 39 years of age. She leaves a husband, one son and three daughters. Her home was at Covington. Three months ago she came here to visit her parent, Ambrose Evans, but her health became so poor that she could not return to her home.
The funeral was preached by Revs. Dunlavy, of Jamestown, and Byerly, of Mace, the 25th inst. Interment was at Pisgah, three miles north of New Ross.
